I imagine it would be a pain if your computer was upstairs and your TV downstairs.
Also, for HD, I would imagine long HDMI cables are expensive.

My computer is upstairs, but we watch TV downstairs. I would love to use my upstairs computer as a media server, but I don't want to run cables through my walls. I would love it if I could stream the videos over my wireless connection from my computer upstairs to my TV downstairs.

| | | | | Re: What's the Big Deal? Well, I already have a wireless network set up. So a device that could automatically connect to the network and load the videos on my computer upstairs would be really nice.
After some searching, I did actually find something:

Interesting, but unlikely that I would convince my wife that I need to spend $160 on it.
