 | Yes, feigning concern for "little people jobs" when they're doling out the GDP of small countries to hollywood talent is a cute schtick... |

Like everyone has extra income to waste on DVDs.. |

 | reply to Karl Bode So, Karl, stealing is okay in your book since they are rich already?
How about this: your decide to take a huge risk and invest your money in one project. Instead of buying it, everybody just steals it.
If the movie is bad, why steal it?
If the movie is good, why not PAY to see it?
Explain that to me. |

 | Still no explanation except trying to rationalize theft. |

when i go to the library and read a book that just came out and is copyrighted am I 'stealing' profits away from the copyright holder? no.....
only difference is that book publishing firms dont have enough money to lobby congress into making libraries illegal. -- At first I thought everyone on the highway was drunk but then I realized I was driving in Florida |

Wow, did I say that? My eyes must be failing. I thought I was making a joke about their feigned sympathy for the working class. In this case to convince the U.S. government they should be the entertainment industry's personal beat-cops. |

The law already provides a 5 year, $250,000 for illegal copy of a movie. Enforce it. Throw enough street peddlers in jail and few will exist. NY would be a good start. |

| I can usually tell someone has a weak position when they need to re-phrase what I actually say, into a new indefensible position.

 | reply to Karl Bode Funny Karl, I posted a New Item about StreamCast getting a Judge to nail them to you. Instead, I read about "how to pirate your stuff to your TV."
You made a open-ended statement. I asked further questions and you avoided them. If I couldn't read, how could I make over $250,000 a year consulting?
Personally, I'm sick of the "piracy is good" attitude of this site. Pay for it. Your parents did. Or, don't watch it!
In fact, if you are up to the challenge, how about a live debate--me and you--and let everyone pose questions? |
