Camelot One : Liggy and Dee's firmware isn't designed to speed up burning, it is primarily to speed up ripping. Using their version often lets you select a higher burn speed than the discs are rated for, but I've found that if you go too high with it, the error rate ends up increasing burn time.
--
AMD X2 4800+ @2700Mhz/ MSI K8N Neo 4 Platinum SLI/ 4x 1024Mb Corsair XMS PC4000/ WD 74Gb Raptor/ PNY 7800GTs SLI/ Antec 550 True Control/Custom water cooler

signmeuptoo : I have an NEC 3520a. It used to take about 7-8 minutes to burn an entire 4.7 size DVD. I tried a different firmware, a Mad dog version. Things went as slow as over an hour to burn one. Then I flashed to Liggy and Dee's, Burns now take 9-10 minutes. Could my burner be dieing, or is it the firmware?

I am perplexed, this firmware is supposed to speed things up.
--
Let's be nice to each other, k?
