When established companies like Yahoo, IBM and Microsoft are traded at less than 1/4 of the GOOG price. No, it's 1998 all over again only this time, limited to one company.
While I love Google to death and use all their products almost, $400/share is insane. |

You also need to look at their market cap, their volume, and company performance.
To just come on and say "BAH ITS 400 A SHARE OMFG TOO EXPENSIVE" doesn't show a whole lot of experience on your behalf.
::Edit:: And because I'm too busy to look, I'm not going to form an opinion on where Google's stock is at right now |

Morningstar analysts consider Google overpriced:
Fair Value Estimate $285.00 Consider Buying $219.80 Consider Selling $357.10
by Rick Summer, CFA, CPA | 09-20-06 | 9:24AM At an investor conference Tuesday, Yahoo's YHOO CFO warned of lower growth in online sales, particularly in the automotive and financial segments of the advertising market. While this quarterly weakness may be isolated to a select few Internet companies, we believe that Google GOOG is just as vulnerable as Yahoo to any slowdown in advertising spending. Google's growth is wholly dependent on advertisers' propensity to spend, not on clicks, searches, or number of people on the Internet. We are comfortable with our assumptions and believe our own model reflects a long and steady decline in online advertising growth. However, investors should keep in mind that advertising growth may decline even more rapidly than we have modeled, and at the current stock price, the risks of investing in Google far outweigh the potential returns, in our opinion. »quicktake.morningstar.com/Stock/···analysis

My money will not go to GOOG ... yet
Perhaps I am risk adverse, but I think I'll keep my money in the established companies such as MSFT, IBM, and RHAT. |

Keep in mind Google doesn't set the price of the current market value. The market does. If you want to blame somebody blame the .com investment speculators who go crazynuts buying stock no matter the price, which inevitably raises prices. |
