If some one could point me to it it would be of great help. |

 | basically, everything is the same from myeastern.com, except replacing it with ct.metrocast.net.
So, the mail server was mail.myeastern.com and is now mail.ct.metrocast.net, I am unsure what you mean by FTP, but I assume it was the homepage server, which is now homepage.ct.metrocast.net |

billh491 join:2001-08-09 Pomfret Center, CT | reply to billh491 I have a website hosted in my webpages. I just used the ftp settings to change index.html file in myeastern area to have a message to forward visitors to my new metrocast homepage. Then I made a index.html with out the link to metrocast and uploaded it to the metrocast server. Now both sites use the plain index.html from the metrocast server.
How am I going to tell my visitors my new home pages address? |
|
 | reply to billh491 use the index.htm to redirect to another page, like main.htm
There are not two servers, its one box, with two names. So, going to »homepage.myeastern.com/~blah/index.htm is the exact same file as »homepage.ct.metrocast.net/~blah/index.htm
Basically, in the end, visitors to either url, will see the redirection, and be sent to the other page. |
