it's posts like these that annoy me, I happen to be a contractor (for Insight), and I'll have you know that I have 100% perfect QCs, and my company's QC and trouble call numbers are better than Insight's own employees, our jobs are hard, demanding, and long. You couldn't do it, it's not like we just "flip a switch".

I agree with you on one hand. But there are just as much of a percentage of lazy contractors as in-house installers no matter where you go. I was a contractor with an excellent QC rating, and my job was hard, demanding, and long. Then a became an in-house tech. My job is still hard, demanding, and long. I just have better benefits, pay, and access to tools. I am also treated way better by my bosses here, but I think that's just because my contracting boss was simply an ass.

And BTW I absolutely do not and never will believe anyone who says that they have a PERFECT 100% QC rating unless their QC system is very lenient. I have NEVER in my life met a perfect tech, and I have met dozens of them. And even the top techs who received accolades for their accomplishments were not 100% perfect. I would be more apt to believe 92-98% percent, which is excellent. But nobody's perfect.
