How many other companies all over the world have screw up employees that do NOT make the news? But because it's the nation's largest cable provider, it's a story.
I saw a Verizon tech parked by a cross-connect facility in the country taking a nap once. Didn't make the news. Of course, this was before digital photography was commonplace, so I am probably lying. (see above post)
I also have a friend who works for a construction company. He is the guy who does final walk-throughs with home-buyers. He walked in with a client and they all caught a glimpse of one of the employees with a girl on the kitchen counter of a brand new home. And they weren't just talking if you catch my drift. Didn't make the news. Nobody except my firend, the client, and my friend's boss cared about it.
This is just another sensationlist story about the actions of an employee of a nationally very well-known and successful company. It's no more newsworthy than an Enquirer story of Oprah having a nervous breakdown. |
