Re: Semantics Well RayW is pretty much right since lots jobs in Hialeah and most of Miami require you to speak spanish. Been to the DMV, Post Office, even out to buy a cell phone? Most of those stores have their signs and pamphlets written Spanish - it's like they don't recognize that there are people who speak english. Heck, you even get dirty looks from people when they can't speak English and you can't speak their language.

I don't find a need to travel to Hialeah because everything I need is right here on Kendall.

Seattle, WA | That's great, but the point I was trying to make was that although the State of Florida may have declared an official language they sure aren't following through or enforcing it (not like they could) - so that point was pretty much moot.
