Seriously, the climate in Atlanta is mild enough so that if you have been maintaining your vehicle properly there is little special that needs to be done to prepare your car for the winter months.
However, season changes are major time that your car battery will go out. Don't forget to check that!
Along with antifreeze and tire tread. But if you are checking those year round, winter should not be a problem.

If the reason it was on sale was because the temp got warmer, the air in the tires will also change to the outside air temperature.

Using a pressure gauge every few weeks would be a much wiser choice if you are that concerned about tire pressure being perfect to save a few pennies on gas :)
