YouTube the big darling of the "ALWAYS FREE" set has been co-opted and will return big profits to Google, the RIAA companies, and the MPAA companies. And advertising has now totally dominated the internet. So very different from what it was like 10 yrs ago.

10 years ago barely anyone was making money and all fo those "free" sites needed to start colleting money in fees or advertising or close down... The internet still runs off of money - remember the days of free dialup and free broadband? They can't make it being free and stay online indefinately. |
