[Kerio 4.x] New IE7 Intrusion attempts

I've downloaded the new IE7 release, and i keep now getting 'Intrusion attempts detected' (blue box). It says its iexplorer.exe thats doing it.

Any ideas?

I really wish they would stop using that charged language... "intrusion detected". I'm not ruling out that you have some sort of problem, but I'm also, based on the information you're providing, not ruling out that it's something entirely benign, like a WGA verification check or something along those lines, or just a new implementation of some helper feature (like Java or Acrobat)...

If you can provide more information, we might be able to offer some more useful advice. Feel free to submit screenshots, if that will help, I probably should remind everyone that we don't mind screen shots of rulesets, event warnings, whatever, and, frankly, encourage them. The more detail you can offer, the better we can evaluate what's going on and offer suggestions to help you out...

I thought it was more of a general kerio/ie7 bug. I'm surprised noone else has come across it. It only started happening the night i installed ie7.

I'm at work right now, but when i get home i'll post a screen shot.

Wild guess, if you disable the phishing filter in IE7 this problem might stop, I have not checked out how the anti-phishing works in detail, however I believe it forwards the url for checking against a known database.

Yeah i read the difference between IE7 and firefox 2, was that firefox downloaded locally a list of dodgy websites, where as IE7 does it all online.

I have tried several things to get this to stop.

Practically every site causes this behavior.
This started with IE on the box. The phising filter on/off makes no difference.

Please help

A few days after i posted this the problem just went away.

I think it may have been turning Kerio 'learning mode' off.

Or on, i cant remember which way.

If you go to Intrusions > HIPS > Advanced > "Exceptions".. you can add IE7 (C:\Program files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe) and this will stop your intrusion attempt messages from IE7.

It's strange the same actions did not happen with IE6 but something is happening with IE7, possibly due to the phishing filter.
