In the building code?

Great to have fiber but this is going a bit beyond their mandate. Now they mandate that builders pay for the infrastructure the city stands to make a huge profit on (given they project making back the over $40 million in just 10 years...what happens after 10 years?). Building codes exist to provide for public safety, not to generate revenue for the gov't. Wonder if they'll offer a building code to force builders to include infrastucture for new CATV, telephony or satellite technologies as well. My guess would be no.

Whether it's the Feds, States or cities, there is no end to gov't greed. Oh well.

What will happen is that the rest of the greedy cities in CA will follow, then the rest of the country will, like the lemmings they are.

It's like I've allways said: Give them a source of money on your back and they WILL climb on.

Besides, $100 a MONTH for 15 Mb? Riiiiiggggghhhhttt.

10/10 for $50 per month... Yeah, I'd go for that!

Remember, these speeds are BOTH WAYS.
