As long as they did not overreact on the scene, and most importantly no innocent casualties then its simply a mistake that can be fixed.
I would consider terrorizing an innocent family for 5 hours to be "overreacting on the scene." I would think at the point the team leader realised that the couple had 3 children they didn't know about, they would have realised something was up.
