Conversely, if they do not act, they will have a very difficult time monitoring traffic and limiting the spread of Internet video pornography (bring them the revolution).

The clerics dont care about scandals. They have the power, bottom line, unless the people rise against them. The Iranian people have a robust black market for tech goods like satellite gear and shortwave radio and. have had it for years now. They are not stupid, nor are they gulled by their government.
All the ones I have spoken with and known have been well educated people trying to get ahead and feed their families, just like everyone else.
Sooner or later, the Mullahs will be overthrown. It's inevitable. The Iranian people hate them with a passion which usually leads to revolution. They rue the day they overthrew the Shah and have for a long time.
