Ok that means the poll must be showing 59.5 - 42.5% in favor of voting for Arnie. So in other words of the 53% that disapprove of his job, 1 out of 4 is still going to vote for him? |

| Approval Rating and polling numbers aren't necessarily closely related.
For example, in this case, less then 50% of the people are happy about the way Arnold is doing his job as Governor.
However, this number has nothing to do with how many people will actually vote or not vote for him.
In the polls, he leads his opponent by 17%.
What these numbers really reflect is:
1) Lots of people don't vote and 2) Lots of people will vote party line no matter how poorly they feel he/she is performing.
