there is no "free market" where broadband is concerned.

the main argument against muni-broadband, allowing the "free market" to self regulate and expand into communities not currently served by broadband, ignores the fact that even in population-dense communities, the "free market" doesn't even exist. we have monopolies and duopolies everywhere.
