I don't buy it.

Those % statistics about speed tiers are likely crap. Sure they might be on the 'up to 3meg plan', but like my connection, I'm willing to bet a fair number of them are more likely in the range below.

Sure, my connection is on the 5mbit tier, too bad i don't break 2mbit.

Perhaps worth noting is all before the telcos praise themselves too much.

Then you should downgrade. If the line is the problem then there's no need to pay for 5meg.

Personally, I pay for 6mbit and get every ounce of it...

Then get the 3mbit package, and still receive your 2mbit. Dont get something your line cant handle. The telco can't control your modem syncing down to a lower rate if the line is noisy.

I can't get anything faster than 1.5mbps (1.3 actual) from at&t dsl and they don't give a damn either! Give me a stinkin RT or a vrad you losers!
