Wildcatboy :
Before this new rating system, I had control over the archived threads and I could remove the ones that didn't deserve to be there. That's when you'd see a highlighted thread all of a sudden revert back to a normal thread.

The new system unfortunately is a sitewide feature and I'm not able to modify it at a forum level. And yes, I agree that this system has rendered the forum Archive feature ineffective if not useless. At the moment, having a good archive is solely dependent on how you -the members- use the abilities you've been given. In other words, you'll get as good an archive as you make it to be.

So, as suggested in the forum rules, use your privileges wisely. Don't vote a thread archive-worthy if you don't want to stare at a bunch of identical or in some cases worthless threads a month later.
--
You can catch the Devil, but you can't hold him long.
