BranoI hate VogonsPremium,MVM join:2002-06-25 Burlington, ON kudos:3 1 edit | I'm running the beta4 for a month approximately. It's very stable and I'm experiencing no issues.
For the fixes see release notes |

 | reply to Brano It looks like they may have revoked the 4.01 release. I'm new to the ZyWall products and just this week I began looking at the 2 Plus. I was on the website early this weekend, and noticed a 4.01 firmware for the 2 Plus.
They also have support notes for 4.01. But, today, there is no 4.01 firmware release available, only the 4.00 XU.2 ... but, they still have the 4.01 support notes available. I've double checked their FTP site too, but it's not there either.
I'm guessing they are correcting an error with the 4.01 release, and will then re-release it. Anyone know? |

It is not listed in ZYXEL Web site for the 2 Plus: support and downloads -firmware - as of 10:50AM today. Also is not listed on MyZyxel.com under available downloads. |

| My two cents. Based on my personal experience I can only recommend upgrading to this 4.01 firmware (upgrade, reset to defaults and reconfigure from scratch).
The 4.00 firmware was the first release and not really mature. The 4.01 has some extensive beta and user testing behind it and even though it's not bug free yet it is much more stable with all the major bugs fixed and added features in comparison to 4.00. |

ZyHope join:2006-11-06 Minneapolis, MN 1 edit | Except for the direct download link in the original post, I cannot find the 4.01 release anywhere ... none of the Zyxel websites, Taiwan, Europe, UK or North America. Since it appears they have once posted the 4.01 release, but have now revoked it, would it really be a good idea to upgrade to this release? I'd have to think something is significantly wrong if they revoked the release.
Also, for those that have test the beta firmware releases, where do you get those? |

Download a copy of the firmware you are currently running if you dont have one. Save your current configuration.
If you have problems with the new firmware you can then restore everything in a few minutes. -- Jim Anderson |

 | reply to Anav you can google TR069 and then you will find tons of info on it. |

jsimmonsPremium,MVM join:2000-04-24 Falls Church, VA 2 edits | reply to Brano The firmware looks official enough. Not sure why it is only posted on the zyxel.ch site and not any of their other main sites. I'm not having any major issues with the older firmware, but am willing to upgrade to the new. Guess I'll give it a shot later tonight.
Update - Upgraded just fine. Did not need to reset to defaults. Will run this way and see what happens. I hate to have to re-enter all my settings, but if I do, I will

After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

I agree with you, but I think the swiss guys actually jump the gun a bit and the swiss site is being administered by a distributor and not a branch office, unless something has changed in recent years -- "Perl is executable line noise, Python is executable pseudo-code." |
