| I must be missing something While this is clever technology I don't see how this really solves the MSO bandwidth crunch.
Most CATV distribution networks are already Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) meaning the distribution network has plenty of capacity. The bottleneck is coax from node to customer. This technology does nothing to address that. MSO's still have to deliver analog channels to customers so the "last 1000 feet" does not change.
