Line Monitoring SignUps for Earthlink DSL membersJustin has given us the ability to group line monitors together for the purposes of looking at single ISP. Members of a group get free, as in no TP deduction, line monitoring services for now. » Re: I'm dedicating most code changes/improvements to ..You can find an example of an ISP group here. A link for EL Monitors has been added to the sidebar and you can find it here. Line monitoring is not very hard to set up. The FAQ about it can be found here. Make sure you are pingable, To signup for it go here. After get your line monitoring setup and working then post in this thread so that I can send you an invite. Also, make sure you also go to » /prefs/flair and select "My home connection" and enter the info there. It will appear by your graph so that others will know what service, etc you have. |

There is no need for third party software - if your IP changes, you can always edit your monitor to reflect the new IP.
You just need to do 2 things:
1) enter static IP 2) check the "dynamic" box
You must do both.
So don't let having a dynamic IP stop you from joining our group. |

** You had 93.72% reachability during the period pretty good for a noise margin of 1 to 6 dB usually. Thanks to all involved for setting this up. I think the dynamic solution would work better for me since I lose sync multiple times a day... |

Invites still available. We must have more Earthlink DSL users that want line monitoring. |

Monitoring setup, I think. Not quite sure how to make the Linksys WRTP54G 'pingable' as there's no option for allow echo request or anything that resembles the FAQ page »(FAQ #685 no longer exists) |

Invite sent to TheHelpful1 . Please don't break the monitor. I'm not familiar with the Linksys but you might want to ask in the » Linksys Forum for help in this. Good luck. Ooops, forgot to tell you, that you need to click on the link in the invite and accept. |

Clicked. Stats will most likely not show as the only thing I can find in the WRTP54G is an option to turn off it's Firewall/NAT. Needless to say, that's staying On.
Edit: Found it. Not under security or setup but rather Access Restrictions. Yay, monitoring is now active. |

I'm back to semi-stability at 6MB. I've got DeeEnEs (thx sashwa!) installed and updating on those occasions that I do get disconnected...so my readings should be much more reliable now. |
