3 recommendations | Line Monitoring SignUps for CenturyLink members Justin has given us the ability to group line monitors together for the purposes of looking at single ISP. Members of a group get free, as in no TP deduction, line monitoring services for now.
»Re: I'm dedicating most code changes/improvements to ..
You can find an example of an ISP group here. A link for CenturyLink Monitors has been added to the sidebar and you can find it here.
Line monitoring is not very hard to set up. The FAQ about it can be found here.
To signup for it go here. After get your line monitoring setup and working then post in this thread so that I can send you an invite.
Also, make sure you also go to »/prefs/flair and select "My home connection" and enter the info there. It will appear by your graph so that others will know what service, etc you have. -- Team Helix ~ EPN ~ Boston ~ Northern California |

Don't thank me, thank justin . He did it.
I also twisted skj 's arm to let me own the one for Embarq.
Also, remember that it will take several hours for your graph to populate so be patient. |

I'm not using dyndns so I'm not sure, Maxo. I use DeeEnEss »Line Monitoring FAQ »How do I configure DeeEnEs? .

Put it in your public comment on your line monitoring page where you enter your information. |

Vaprotan is right on the money. Take a look at his graph. He's done that already. I've done that with mine also. |

I just found something out last night about the line monitoring and forgot to share it.
There is no need for third party software - if your IP changes, you can always edit your monitor to reflect the new IP.
You just need to do 2 things:
1) enter your current IP address in the "Monitor this static IP" box
AND
2) check the "dynamic" box
You must do both.
So don't let having a dynamic IP stop you from joining in. -- Team Helix ~ EPN ~ Boston ~ Northern California |

MaxoYour tax dollars at work.Premium,VIP join:2002-11-04 Tallahassee, FL | What does that box do different? I was manually updating my IP (well, it hasn't changed yet) but when I checked the box it cleared all my data. |
|
sashwaPremium,Mod join:2001-01-29 Alcatraz kudos:15 1 edit | Maxo, I don't know. Yur graph looks blank to me and like you just started. How long ago did you do this?
Edit: Your graph is starting to populate again. I'm thinking that when you update your IP you start all over because you are telling the monitor that you have a new IP to monitor. |

My IP hasn't changed since I've started. I selected the dynamic IP option and that's when it reset my data. |
|
sashwaPremium,Mod join:2001-01-29 Alcatraz kudos:15 | If you didn't have the dynamic box checked before and then you checked it after your monitor started is in a way updating so that could have caused your data to reset. I really don't know, Maxo, sorry. -- Team Helix ~ EPN ~ Boston ~ Northern California |
