Hello, Sashwa, I just started getting CenturyLink DSL. (Currently Comcast subscriber, but will turn off Comcast in about a week).

I'd love to be invited for line monitoring for CenturyLink.

Best,

hdt

Just setup what appears to be the first CenturyLink line monitor in Colorado. Could you send me an invite, please? Thank you in advance.

Is the monitor supposed to be working? I have a flat line. Just wondering, is it me or is the monitor not yet restored?

Check to make sure you are using your current public IP address.

Yes I am. I haven't changed anything since the outage. Yesterday the graph page reappeared showing a flat blue line. I made sure the DynDNS was running. Late last night, just before midnight I got a brief green blip on the graph but then it went back to the blue line.

Your graph looks like your IP address has changed. Try this:

Stop your current monitor and then set up a new monitor.

Set up new monitor. Dynamic IP. How long does it take to get results?

I'm thinking you don't have your monitor set up correctly because I don't see an IP address associated with your monitor:

»/testhistory?v···rt=m&p=2

A very important factor is the way you setup the account. Even if you have a static IP, you must create the account as a dynamic IP. You have to check the dynamic box AND enter your static IP. For security and privacy, BBR uses a cookie feature so that if you are logged in, only you can see your static IP graph. But for those that are not logged in, the graph is not visible, it will appear broken. So setting the graph to a dynamic IP will allow everyone to see the graph while the IP will remain hidden. If you have a static IP you do not need to run a DDNS client. Just set the monitor for "dynamic" and then type in your IP address in the "monitor this static address" box

Re: Line Monitoring SignUps for CenturyLink members

I too am having the same issues as bluegrill. I stopped and created my monitor. I have running dynamic and have verified that it is the correct IP.

I show your monitor is populating:

»/testhistory?v···rt=m&p=8

It's the last one in the above link.

The only way I can get this to work is put in my dynamic IP in the static field. The monitor never updates after my IP changes.

You have to check the dynamic box AND enter your current IP in the "Monitor this static ip address" - even if you do not have a static ip address.

When your IP address changes all you have to do is type in your new IP address. Then click on the "Update monitor" button at the bottom of the page.
