I think so. At least, when I click on Tools -> Line Monitor -> Results, I see charts. However maybe I didn't register it properly. It shows up as...

Line monitor #231787

Re: Line Monitoring SignUps for Embarq members

Is the line monitoring over?

Haven't seen anything on my chart the last couple days.

Nope it's still going on. Have you checked to make sure you are monitoring your current IP?

I just took a look at it and it looks like your IP has changed. You need to update your monitor with your current IP.

I have a static IP.

But Now that I think about it, I had to disable some things in my router because someone broke my WEP and SSID and was leeching service of me and using bittorrent lagging my connection hardcore.

Not exactly sure what I changed as i had to reset the router and install new firmware to get WPA(AES).

If i can figure out I'll turn it back on.

Until you get it fixed, go to your monitor setup and click "Stop Monitoring" at the bottom. This will stop the monitoring until you can get it working again.

I just added my IP to the list. I'm having a packet loss issue, so perhaps this will shed some light on it.

Is your line monitor setup and working? If not, please get that done first. When you have it up and working let me know and I will send you an invite.

I have setup my dynamicDNS IP and the monitor service sees the IP. Please send me an invite. I hope this to shed some light on what the heck is going on with the Internet Service in this area.

It has been really bad for over a week now.

WOW! That was quick. Thank you for sending out the invite. I look forward to helping the group and hopefully getting Embarq to resolve any problems that may come up.

I recently added my IP to the dyndns.org site, so the monitor will track my constantly-changing IP address. I've also noticed that since I removed the old Linksys router, my packet loss has gone to zero. Hope the good luck continues.

I'm running an older Linksys WRT55AG ver 1, I switch the Zyxel 660 from bridged to routeing mode often for testing don't usually have any loss even when in a double NAT. Even had my old BEFSR41 ver 1 gave it away to a friend of mine and they've never seen any loss. Don't get me wrong I know they can go bad, I would look at bad cableing or a bad NIC card before looking at the Linksys. When I diagnose others I look at first system config next cableing then NIC's and finally the router/modem. 9 out of 10 times its the computer or the cableing.
