I buy a console for gaming not for PPV

I am going with the Nintendo Wii this time around. I want my console to play games and that primarily I have other things like a DVR and what not that is used for these sorts of things. I think it is kinda sad that consoles are becoming more concerned about the add on fluff than the games anymore. This and the nickle and dimeing policy that EA is tossing at the gamers with the un-lockable content for a fee. Come on people play the game to get the goodies that is why you bought it in the first place.

..yea let's just leave all that extra ability sitting dormant for nothing.

Adding these things in no way take away from the 360's ability to play games.

Your precious Wii (I'm getting one so don't think I don't like Nintendo) is offering the same types of things.

It's a natural evolution.
