Here's some pictures from my burnout from AT&T/SBC's line meeting Socal Edisons 16kV line (all underground).
The explosion was strong enough to blow the concrete covers off of at least 3 of these buried boxes.

| It does look like a cam shaft. Just maybe some disgruntled customer felt that their dsl service was crappy and figured that blowing up the DSLAM would force ATT to make those repairs they've been saying were not needed. |
