| 3web smtp server problem It's the second week that when I am trying to send an e-mail message, I receive a response from their SMTP server saying "Administrative prohibition" -- and the message is not sent. It worked fine before with the same settings for several months.
As usual, it is not possible to reach 3web by phone, no response to my e-mail either.
I wonder if anyone experienced something similar or knows how to deal with this. |

Today, 7 days after I reported the problem, it was fixed.
I presume, it takes them about that much time to process a trouble ticket.
Better late than never...  |

I had the same problem on Jan 9. It drove me crazy. I am fed up with 3 web. I will probably cancel.
I solved the problem by changing the smtp setting from smtp@3web.com to smtp@cia.com
It worked.

| FYI gmail users can use smtp.googlemail.com
...as of now 3web in Toronto can't get outside cogentco.com. All I can see is 3web.com, mama.com, lycos.com, but not google or yahoo or redflagdeals, etc. |
