Anyway, he spent about 20 minutes trying to tell my wife why we should go with Insight, but he also told her that he worked for Comcast but was sent to the Bloomington Indiana area to help out and that it was basically a done deal that we were going to be Comcast. I didn't speak with the guy, but it does seam to go along with Comcast taking over Insight's Indiana subs. By the way, Comcast is not currently in our area, so he wasn't trying to get us to switch, and he gave my wife some Insight paperwork and pricing info.

A string of moves by Comcast to unwind partnerships with other cable operators could be drawing to a close soon.

In early 2007, the nation’s largest cable operator is expected to pull the trigger on dissolving its Insight Midwest partnership, possibly gaining about 650,000 customers in the process.

It was my opinion that this was part of the reason for taking the company private. Less investors to have to share the wealth with. Although many others don't agree with this opinion. These rumors have been going on for how many years now? Something may take place one of these days. Keep in mind though that I'm sure some antitrust / monopoly issues might get looked at if Comcast tries to make such a purchase.
