 | AC211 Gizmo config for FWD Hi, I managed to unlock the AC-211. Trying to configure it for FWD. Anybody had any luck. Care to share? thanks! |
|
 | I assume that you are no longer an SR customer; the AC-211 cannot handle different providers on the two ports.
For FWD on ATA-211, on SIP tab: IP Address: 65.39.205.114 Port: 5082 Domain Name: fwd.pulver.com
For Line1: User/Phone#: your FWD number Authentication User Name: your FWD number Password: your FWD password
(You may also need to change the Dial Plan for reasonable results, but what you have should be adequate for most tests, calling FWD or toll-free.)
If no luck, use the syslog feature or capture the traffic to see what SIP errors you are getting. |

 | thx for the response. it did not work. dont I need any stun or nat settings? i had also upgraded firmware to the latest avlbl. i hope that was not a problem. |
|
 | reply to thanks226 also, the port in sip settings is 5082 and line port is 5060? just confirming. |
|
 | I was assuming that the AC-211 is behind a NAT router. If it is on a public IP, try 69.90.155.70 port 5060 instead of 65.39.205.114 port 5082 In either case, the line port should not matter, and it should work with all STUN/NAT settings turned off.
If it won't register, what error do you get when it tries? If there is no response to the register at all, verify that it is being sent to the correct address and port.
If it gets a 200 response to the register, does incoming work? What error do you get when you try to call out? |
|
 | Yes, it is behind a NAT router. I am still figuring out how to get the syslogs to work using my windows machine as the server. I can also telnet into the AC211 and access its cli but I guess it only has remote logging. So, no idea if the registers are going out and if any responses are coming back. |
|
 | I don't remember if it only works on the WAN port (and am traveling so can't check), but if the gizmo is behind a NAT and the logging PC is behind the same NAT, then that is "remote" logging and you should be fine. If you don't have a real syslog server, then just run Wireshark (formerly Ethereal), start a capture, and the syslog packets will appear in the trace. |

| reply to thanks226 I too have an AC-211 that I use for my asterisk system. I have tried several dial plans to pass all dialing onto the * system. None have worked decently yet.
(x.) ([*X}[*X]X.) I tried using "Z" but that seem to be worse.
In all above cases many dialing patterns are blocked by the dialing plan in the AC-211 With its error tones. The * is never given a chance at trying to dial.
Please if there is a pdf that I don' t have that describes the characters that are valid in dial plans, tell me where I can retrieve it.
Thanks Praying for an answer |

 | See link to docs in this thread: »[Equipment] AC-211 (SR Gizmo) Admin & User Guides (Sep 2005) For starters, try x.T
When you get tired of the delay, you can customize for your system. You may have trouble with codes beginning with *, unless you change the built-in special service access codes. |
