Obviously rogers sucks and sympatico is much better choice for now, plus for a little extra i can get optimax in my area. Ha-Ha keep throttling till noone left.

The trouble is that isn't going to happen. There are more than enough people who use Rogers for browsing and internet only that even without the P2P users, there will still be a huge client base. That's why they don't seem to care about throttling. They know that in the end, it won't hurt them.

»'New' Sympatico Caps

Looks like you may have a reason after all.

This is bad...I upgraded to Extreme last night, when I first plugged in my modem I was getting consitent upload speeds of around 80K/sec which I was happy with.

About 2 hours later, my consistent speeds dont go over around 30K/sec now now matter what is done.

All tests such as speedcheck.rogers.com and speedtest.net do qualify that it is around 6Mbps down and 800kbps up, however that is definitely not the case.

My speeds were better on upload traffic on Express on the 72.* IP range than I am getting now.

Think I will be cancelling this crap service if this keeps up.....ARGH!

yup.. for ages utorrent was working great for me on my node, even when it seemed that most were getting throttled. now no matter what I do i get maybe 50k on a given torrent, never more.. or i should say i'm never connecting to more than 8 peeps on a given torrent. sometimes i'll hit 200+k/sec but that ends up being one dude sending me at 190 and a few other guys.

i have rogers and use utorrent 1.6

i dont know why but i can download at high speeds almost all the time. private trackers always give me ~500kb/sec, and public can give me up to a couple hundred (depending on the file/seeds/leechers of course). Uploads however are pretty bad and i can never get above 10kb/sec. what seems to work for me is using securix vpn which allows me to upload at 40kb/sec (my maximum i believe) almost consistantly.

Yup... I'm here in Brampton, with Rogers Extreme, and when seeding I can't get more than 5kb/s TOPS.

This is friggin ridiculous.

I hate Rogers with a burning passion.
