| Much to be thankful for .... Well - since I know at least I won't get to login tomorrow, I figured it's time to start the "What are we thankful for?" thread a bit early.
What am I thankful for?
Great family & friends. My health and the health of those around me. A wonderful job, a roof over my head, food on my table, and something left for the bank account. My beautiful wife. ... and most of all ... My 1st child, due at the end of May. Time to add another one to the ATM Baby Tracker! (May 28th is the expected due date!)
I'm also thankful for the many friends I've made here at ATM. Since the death of the BBS era, I've been searching for an online community; I've found one here at DSLR. Thanks everyone.
I'm also thankful that my Macs are holding strong; with a baby on the way, I don't really want to be buying a Mac Pro right about now!
Thanks all, and have yourselves a wonderful, happy & safe Thanksgiving.

And who's frying the turkey for the ATMers this year? I hear it's the best way to have a turkey served. I haven't tasted it yet. -- "HotFries" |

It's already been fun, what with the sonograms and dopplers and all that goodness. Incredibly exciting to watch your kid squirm for the first time. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and to all a good night! (or something like that) |

I used to HATE being around kids and now I want one of my own. Oh, how we change...
I have so much to be thankful for, and I seem to lose sight of it so quickly.
First I'm thankful to be alive, in decent health, and to be lucky enough to live in the home I grew up in (29 years in the same place, with a great view of center city Philly).
I'm thankful to have the entire extended weekend off (I'm off until Monday). Something as simple as a few days off to relax and rest is really nice.
I've been on BBR for a while now (4yrs), but only been coming to ATM since about April. Had a great time coming here, and I've learned a lot, so I hope all of you have a nice thanksgiving and great holiday season.
PS, I feel a little obligated to add a foot note to my comments. In all honesty this is the first year since my folks passed away that I'm actually looking forward to the holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas). The past couple years have been nothing short of an uphill battle both physically and emotionally, and for the first time in a long time, I feel as though the "storm has passed". To anyone who's having a tough time with the holidays, I ask you to please take to heart the thought that the tough times you're going through will pass, and you will find the time to laugh again. To feel the warm sun on your face in the morning as dawn breaks, and the love of family and friends. Don't give up.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and enjoy your holiday.... -- Never ask what sort of a computer a guy drives. If he's a Mac user, he'll tell you. If not, why embarrass him? -Tom Clancy |

I'm thankful for my family even though we won't be together this year.
I'm glad for my job which seemed to be hanging in the balance the last couple of months but just recently stabilized.
I'm glad for my health and at least one good working brain cell
Also, I'm glad to finally be an ATM'er and a part of this crazy group.

| reply to dennismurphy Ok, the what am I thankful for thread. I will name 3 things
1) My health. I know that sounds cliche, but a friend is in the hospital and would give anything to have his health back. It really makes me appreciate being healthy.
2) Being only 5 months away from graduating
3) Being able to purchase a Mac this year -- Have you hugged your Mac today? | A preview of OS X 10.5 |
