 | 9108 setup with tiscali Hi all, I've recently bought a usr9108 and I'm trying to setup my internet connection, but I'm quiet unsuccesful.
my ISP has the following requirements: VPI : 0 VCI : 34 RFC-1483 bridged
When I do so I can get on the internet but my pc or laptop will get a Tiscali ipaddress instead of a local address. This way I can internet but can't get on my local network.
I've googled a bit and someone suggested to use "Dynamic MER" with autosense off but that didn't work either. The WAN interface keeps trying to get an Ipaddress but doesn't get any.
So I'm a bit stuck now and was wondering whether someone has come across this as well and resolved it.
regards, Paul |

In 1483 bridge mode your Router's local network DHCP server is disabled, this is also by design for 1483 bridge mode. If the NIC card supports a secondary IP on the same network you can try assigning a second IP address to the NIC card.
Here is another possible solution to try:
You can also try static MER, but you need to write down all you IP address assigned by your ISP. The Internet IP address, gateway address, and DNS address(es). You can edit the WAN setup and manually enter these values for MER.
I hope that helps. |

 | good thing someone replied. I forgot all about this topic.
I have found a solution.
Tiscali over BBned in holland uses adsl2 and autosense didn't work. so if you set it to rfc1483 dynamic MER and check adsl2 and adsl2+ it works. |
