Re: [Extreme] BT Throttling on Utorrent 1.6 has resumed recently Throttling is done to ensure that your neighbourhood doesn't get bogged down...hahaha too bad. Back to sypatico next month. I have no reason to stay with rogers. |

 | Obviously rogers sucks and sympatico is much better choice for now, plus for a little extra i can get optimax in my area. Ha-Ha keep throttling till noone left. |

There are more than enough people who use Rogers for browsing and internet only that even without the P2P users, there will still be a huge client base. That's why they don't seem to care about throttling. They know that in the end, it won't hurt them. |

Looks like you may have a reason after all. -- Therapy is expensive. Bubble wrap is free. |

 | This is bad...I upgraded to Extreme last night, when I first plugged in my modem I was getting consitent upload speeds of around 80K/sec which I was happy with.
About 2 hours later, my consistent speeds dont go over around 30K/sec now now matter what is done.
All tests such as speedcheck.rogers.com and speedtest.net do qualify that it is around 6Mbps down and 800kbps up, however that is definitely not the case.
My speeds were better on upload traffic on Express on the 72.* IP range than I am getting now.
Think I will be cancelling this crap service if this keeps up.....ARGH! |
