dfk : Hi...
i already subscribed to tmnet for about 2 years. my streamyx 512 connection was ok a few months ago, recently the speed got slower and now the dsl light on the ZTE ZXDSL 831 modem blinks every few minutes.

i checked the dsl parameter status and realized the snr margin is low. if i'm not mistaken, is it bad for low snr margin? what is the normal margin for streamyx? could this be a telephone line problem or modem is failing?

Local Tx Power:	11.95 dB
Remote Tx Power:	16.15 dB
Local Line Atten.:	42.0 dB
Remote Line Atten.:	29.0 dB
Local SNR Margin:	4.0 dB
Remote SNR Margin:	20.0 dB

the modem is connected to the phone line thru a splitter. there is no house alarm/surge protector. i'm not to familiar with the cabling stuff, any help would be appreciated..thanks.
