And don't everyone jump on the Verizon bandwagon, they will never provide Fios to everyone, especially with statewide agreements.
I have seen what legislation can do for a community. We were held hostage by Blue Mountain Cable with 400K cable internet as our only provider. With Chapter 30 Act 183 we forced Verizon to deploy DSL in the community. Now Blue Mountain is selling out to Comcast and we will have true competition. We would never have seen decent service without a small amount of legislation. |
