 lrtc6 join:2004-06-05 Toronto | Radiation isnt bad; I cant stand the hype that these people cause. My microwave door broke a few years ago so I took it off and its been fine since. I dont feel sick when using it and thats 900 watts right and wifi is like 0.03 watts so I dont know what her problem is! |

 PolarBear03The bear formerly known as aaron8301Premium join:2005-01-03 | Not knowing exactly what Irtc did with his microwave, I know that interlock switches are easy to defeat, like the switch on your clothes washer or car door. Push the switch in and VIOLA! the device still works with the door open/missing!
On the other hand, I think that 1000+ watts (like most modern microwave ovens) of power is still too much radiation. I would never run a microwave oven with the door missing, although I have no problems with cell phones or wi-fi.
