Cable over-builders have found it VERY expensive, with long odds and timelines on positive investment returns. Just lookup Altrio, GTE/Americast/Verizon Worldwind, AT&T Broadband, WinFirst, and a slew of others who've tried and failed or gave up... and that's just in Southern California... -- 117+ RF channels of mixed video and data bouncing down fiber and coax for miles and you expect it to work right the first time, all the time? Do you realize how complicated this actually is??? |
