$25k for 2 installs..

We had a similar issue with Comcast installing cable at 2 of our office locations. I posted about it in the Comcast forum way back when - finally it worked out for us when we agreed to dig the trench ourselves (we're a cemetery).

So what is the average cost for the cable companies to run line. I think used to be around $10/ft on simple pole to pole runs. Then there is the cost of final drop on top of that.

Of course! They don't want to miss an episode of Deal or No Deal .

Actually, the cemetery is pretty technologically advanced. Two locations in South Jersey are connected via VPN, and both are connected via VPN to our main office in North Jersey. None of this would have been possible without a decent high speed line, though, and we battled with Comcast for years about it. They wanted $10K for the first location, and $15K for the second - we got them to do both for free.

I've uploaded some pics of the trench we dug to the first location.

Ok, question. Is the VPN for the actual cemetery office or is that building used for other things, like a funeral home. Just curios

You definitely want to survey there before you dig. I wouldn't want to be the one telling someone I accidently dug up his mom.

It would seem to me that this is a joke in itself; if this is considered: A majority of those who work in cemeteries should be quite used to digging holes in the ground.
