mking128 : IE7 worked fine for me until I upgraded to MSN 9.5, then I couldn't open my email and MSN browser would close - other features worked fine. VZW posted a patch/fix to 9.5.2 but I've uninstall, etc. several times already but it continued to crash. Apparently, MSN dial-up users are having serious issues as well. Tech. support said they are aware of the issues but still working on a fix.

At this rate, reformat the hard drive & reinstall everything might not be a bad idea - good time to hook up the USB external drive to backup my disk data.

Apparently, VZW is still pushing 9.5 when you opt to reinstall the MSN Premium software instead of rolling it back to 9.2 or earlier version. Ahhhh....

Suffering : I would imagine any ISP that partners with MSN would get this escalated. The OP made it sound like it had been escalated (maybe a few times).
--
kicking screaming gucci little piggy

dsmfour : Not sure what other ISPs are doing but at Verizon, we're escalating tickets to Microsoft for this issue since it's quite common. The other option of course is to uninstall IE7 :)

Suffering : Buy a mac? ;)

the reason they are having you uninstall and reinstall a bunch of times is because they are trying to eliminate problems that could potentially be crashing MSN. Obviously they haven't found it yet.

Nobody here is going to have a one click answer for you (unfortunately). Ultimately it depends how much time you want to invest w/ msn support. Personally if I couldn't figure it out within 3-4 hours, I would backup my files and reinstall windows; but that's just me.
--
kicking screaming gucci little piggy

anon : Every time I open MSN premium I get the message that MSN encountered a problem and must shut down. I can use IE 7 but that's not the point. Why does MSN premium keep crashing. I have spoken to MSN tech. and they have had me uninstall and reinstall MSN about 1/2 dozen times in different ways and nothing seemst to make a difference.
Has anyone else had this experience? Any suggestions?
