Re: HAHA Not knowing exactly what Irtc did with his microwave, I know that interlock switches are easy to defeat, like the switch on your clothes washer or car door. Push the switch in and VIOLA! the device still works with the door open/missing!
On the other hand, I think that 1000+ watts (like most modern microwave ovens) of power is still too much radiation. I would never run a microwave oven with the door missing, although I have no problems with cell phones or wi-fi.
