Re: Wow, how hard is that to understand??? Remove the dollar sign before the .20 and change the "two tenths of a dollar" to "two tenths of a cent" and the statement becomes true.
.002 dollars is just that, .002 dollars.
.002 dollars is 00.2 cents (the decimal moves two places because a cent is 100th of a dollar.)
$0.0002 = .02¢
$0.002 = .2¢
$0.02 = 2¢
$0.20 = 20¢
$2.00 = 200¢
$ = dollar
¢ = cent
