I can't find any mention of caps anywhere. Are we sure that there's a 40GB cap on the 50/50 premium service?

Also people are posting comparisons that make no sense. Yeah, you can get a cell for $40/month, but what would you pay for an unlimited cell plan? And where in this country can you get every premium channel for $100/month on cable??

While I understand BBR is not really a "news" site, it would be nice if instead of just linking to the PR the author would contact Surewest and clarify whether caps exist on this service.

There isn't any mention of caps on this plan, which is why Karl posed the question: "But will it have the same 40GB per month caps?".

If they had caps on the older plans, I think it's a fairly safe bet they'll do the same for this one.

To me, it's not really clear if they even had caps on the older plans. I did a little search through old posts and found people saying they did, and people saying they didn't. Ex: »Re: Surewest Caps. Maybe they enforce caps in some areas and not in others?

True, their press release didn't mention the caps. We're all making an assumption based on their current caps users are reporting on their other uber-services. However, these kinds of press releases are normally fuzzy and warm and won't mention the terms & disclaimers.

As for the fully-loaded TV packages I thought I'd do some quick shopping around the country to see if I live in some kind of unique area. Wasn't that hard to find. These are some sample of non-promotional rates for the premium levels of services...

The 10/10 mbit service has a 40 Gig cap, but I myself have crossed it and never heard a complaint from SureWest
The 20/20 mbit has NO CAP.

EDIT: I just found out that the link goes to my own post saying there is a cap. They have changed it since then, the 20 mbit doesnt have a cap anymore, and I doubt the 50/50 would.

Here on Time Warner, Digital Cable is $55.95, it's $12.95 for the first Premium movie package, $7.95 for each additional one, $3 for the Encore Pack, $7.95 for a box rental. That's $103.70. Total of 44 premium movie channels (only 4 of those are west feeds), plus the Premiums On Demand. Add franchise fee and that's about $108, cable TV and internet services are not taxed in NY state.
