Re: thats a spicy meatball Maybe it's not always about running full speed. Maybe, just maybe, some people do the same "activities" each month and just want to get to them faster.
maybe some people transfer some 100 meg files from time to time and don't want to wait several minutes, rather, they'd see them go in a few seconds.
It's not always about "if I get faster speeds, I will download more".. after all, the human mind can still only soak up only so much. Running full speed at 50mb all month, I don't think you'd be able to humanly process all that information yourself, right?
Not to mention, Surewest doesn't strictly enforce the 40gb caps. At one of my locations, we go over and hit 70gb, sometimes regularly... they never say anything. They too will tell you it's loosely enforced.
But, I too must agree that it's a pretty low cap.
