Keep getting 'Failed to find the filesystem ID' on USR8200

Hi,

Thanks for looking and here is the issue I am trying to tackle:

Any time I add any/all of the two external HDs below, USR8200 sees them, lets me partition them and when I start formatting I get 'Failed to find the filesystem ID' in about a minute.

Any suggestion ? Attaching sysLog below.
Cant get any technical guy at the USR Support after opening 4 cases on this issue, I guess they are trying to ignor this case.

THANKS.

The firmware I have is the updated and is of v3.10.20.19
The External drives I have used:

Firewire External drive:
Size: 128.0G
Type: SBP-2 IEEE-1394
Description: Maxtor 1394 storage (Rev: 60)

USB External drives:
Size: 160G
Type: USB2
Description: NexStar USB2.0 (Rev: 0100)

The SysLOG after a rebbot:

CF card reader seems to work fine when attached via USB.

Tried falling back to factory defaults and then formatting USB and Firewire external HDs.... same issue.''Failed to find the filesystem ID'.... no luck.
