Re: Cool... I dunno if it's the same for every market but in Orange County, CA it's 40GB/mo for their standard service and 60GB/mo for the premiere service. In the 10 years I've had Cox I've only gotten 1 nastygram. Here so long as you don't go over all the time they don't care but I find myself having to curb my usage to avoid exceeding caps every month.
For 99% of subs the caps aren't a problem but for me they are. Of course as bad as the caps may be (IMO anyway) our POTS service was so bad I can't imagine what AT&T's DSL service would be like here.
At my other place, I had gotten 2 nastygrams from Comcast in the 3 years I had them, and none when I had ATTBi (eventhough my useage pattern hadn't changed). Now that I have FIOS there my Comcast headache is only a bad memory. Verizon doesn't seem to care no matter how much I use.
Again, caps no matter who the provider is only affects a small percentage of us who are download whores. But I do appreciate Cox plainly stating their caps so we all can judge the value of the service BEFORE buying unlike Comcast who even after sending a nastygram refuses to disclose what point prompted the nastygram. |

I bet Comcast cares a lot less now as well.
