I had to laugh at Comcast's Response on Upload

I really had to laugh when I read this:

"Right now our customers say our current upstream speeds meet their needs," a Comcast spokesperson recently stated. "But we'll continue to monitor what our customers want, and PowerBoost for uploads could be something we offer later."

Uh, Comcast are you all sleeping just like that tech caught on youtube earlier this year? You haven't been monitoring what your customers want because your still using 384 kbps upload in my area.

Oh get real(cable companies) if you asked your subs what they'd like, i bet a majority of them would say more upload.
Upload can always be used unlike token downstream speed increases which go largely unused. thats why they dont mind giving more down speed.

Care to place that bet?

Maybe people around here and a small portion of the tech geeks out there, but I would GLADLY take you up on that bet.

On my own little test of, oh 5 years worth of contacts, I can tell you that people are happy with 1) how "fast" their pages load and how fast they can download their music and email attachments.. and then 2) a lower price.

Many people, asked if there were slower speeds/price plans available. These people, so you know, ranged from the poor areas to the very wealthy areas. Yes, believe it or not, even those with money don't really care to pay $42.00 for broadband.. hell, most of the people WITH money were rather frugal and didn't purchase as much cable offerings as one would think.

This is from first hand experience. Also, yea, there are many studies out there, not to mention hard statistics, that shows the actual usage on the networks.
