So long as you make sure that the resample box is not checked, it will not affect the image at all.
It might... the act of opening then resaving a jpg usually means new compression is applied.
Seriously, though... I wouldn't bother changing the DPI setting. The print GUIs in most imaging applications I've seen are advanced enough to make this unnecessary. Dumb programs like IE have problems but why print from them? -- My Site
