I'm setting up voicestick using x-lite. Can I do it using a sip port other than 5060. 5060 is blocked in my area. |

| reply to Khurram9 There are two sip signalling ports involved. There is port you send the requests to and the port on your adapter (or on your pc in the case of X-lite) to which VoiceStick responds to you and sends an invite for an incoming call. For the sip signalling port on your adapter you can use any port number you wish. When you send the register request you tell VoiceStick the ip address and port number where you can be reached.
Unless you specify otherwise in the proxy address the registration and other requests are sent to port 5060 at VoiceStick. I would be very surprised if it responds to any other port address. VBuzzer is one of the few providers that I am aware of that work with an incoming sip signalling port different from 5060. |
