Need help with building a silent PC

designmojo : I haven't built a computer in close to 7 years. I've had my present computer (a Dell) for almost 3 years now and I'm looking to replace it. I haven't been keeping up with components so I have no idea what to look for when buying the parts I need to build a silent PC. Here's what I do know though. I know I want the following:

Intel Core Duo 2 processor
2GB RAM
250GB + Hard Drive (silent)
High end video card

I mainly use the computer for programming and using Microsoft Flight Simulator.

What cases/fans/psu should I consider? If this has been asked before then please accept my apology and I will do a search.

I've been considering an imac since they are so quiet but I think I want a little more power and upgradability. The macs are super quiet and that's what I'm looking for. My current Dell sounds like a jet plane taking off.

Thanks for the help!
