Cingular as the only provider. I'm out. Good idea to limit your audience. Because we were ready to drop everything for the ROKR. why is everyone so down on Cingular? It's the largest carrier in the US, they must done some things right (yeah, I know the CS is sometime poor, but some of those people are very good and very helpful)- I travel along the east coast and except in very rural areas (where all the carriers have problems) it's not that bad in coverage. I've not experienced thier 3G since I've never purchased a phone with more than EDGE speeds and the 3G coverage is spotty. I've used Google Local on my non-edge phone, and it works well and only takes 3-5 seconds or so to get a result from a search and that's tolerable. (I have 15/2mps at home so I know the difference between slow and really fast.)
In any case, they have some new plans that will allow unlimited internet access for as low as $20/mo.(MediaMax 200) And you'll have WIFI "G" on it (iPhone) too.
You can take your OUTLOOK and sync it to Yahoo, and then sync that to your phone. If they support the whole Yahoo calendar, contacts and email thing, that's not bad. I'm sure someone will put up a widget to make it more MS Office friendly if your life depended on that that level of document support.
I've stayed away from Verizon because of their generally overpriced internet and 'your're guilty' viewpoint of users. "Anyone using more than 5 GB per line in a given month is presumed to be using the service in a manner prohibited above, and we reserve the right to immediately terminate the service of any such person without notice." »www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/stor···atId=448
